Counselling & Referral Services

The Snow Lake Family Resource Centre has free counselling available to the children, teens, adults and seniors of our community.


Our counselling service is provided by Chris MacFarlane, who holds a Bachelor of Arts

with majors in Psychology and Sociology, as well as Applied Counselling certification.

He has over 14 years of combined experience working in Vocational Rehabilitation,

Disability Management as well as in a Counselling capacity with persons of all

ages, from all walks of life, and from many cultures, including our First Nations.

Our services may be suitable to helping you fully with your needs. However, should the Counsellor identify the need for assessment and/or treatment at a higher level of expertise (such as with a physician, psychologist or psychiatrist) we will gladly provide any referrals that will be of assistance to you. Moving forward, the Counsellor will assist you with navigating the treatment and health care system as you progress in recovery.
